I have an Archtek SmartLink 28.8 modem. I thought I had the only one in the whole world or something similar until I saw your page. My modem is RARE. I've played dozens of games with no option for it, even Windows 95 has no driver....

Anyway, I have some advice for the only other person who uses my
modem, probably the guy who makes 'em. (Or any sorry customer told it was a common modem.) And that is this: The "Doom init string," the init string that works in Doom and just about every game since Doom that says, "whatever worked for Doom will work for me." Well, it
worked for Doom I Shareware v1.9, at least. Here it is:
