        +MS=V34,1,14400,26400,14400,26400
    This string limits the speed of the connection to obtain better connections. V34 specifies the protocol. Other "acceptable" protocols may include K56, V90, V32 or V32b. The next "1" sets auto-reliable mode. The next two numbers (14400,26400) set the minimum and maximum receive speeds. The next two numbers (again 14400,26400) set the minimum and maximum transmit speeds.

        S25=40+MS=V34
    Seems to alleviate some line noise problems - particularly where 56K/V90 is not available.

    I have seen cases where modems in Win95/98 don't connect properly with only the +MS stuff. They seem to function much better when the "&F" is added to the beginning of the string to reset the modem to its defaults. This makes me believe that the Win85/98 drivers may have some settings that cause problems on noisy lines.
