        &F&C1&D2W2+MS=V32
    Used this for customer with very bad line noise. Change the V32 to V34 if line conditions permit.

        S37=16S38=16S25=40
    Used to conquer most line noise/disconnect problems.

        S25=40+MS=V34,1,14400,26400,14400,26400
    If the above doesn't work, you may try this (similar to the +MS=V32 setting). This sets V34 auto-reliable mode with a floor connect speed of 14400 and a ceiling of 26400. If problems persist, you can lower the 26400 step by step (21600, 19200, 14400) until you connect - or change the V34 to V32 and delete the rest of the string.

        AT&F&C1&D2S=50
    ROSENET TECH NOTES: According to ConeXant/Rockwell docs, the S=50 would be ignored (calling an S register without specifying the register). The user that sent this string claims faster connections. I have not been able to verify this string. I have had one Internet user e-mail me to say that connect speeds and reliability have increased since using this string.

        AT+MS=V34
    This will force the modem to connect @ 31,200 or slower but most times insures a stable connection when using these "soft-modems", especially if the ISP has Digital Equipment. I work for such an ISP & this fixes HCF, Gateway SF-1156IV-R9A & Conexant based modems for us.

    ROSENET TECH NOTE: This will actually force a connection at 33,600 or below and should only be necessary if connections above this speed are not possible because of phone line conditions.

  • Model: 56K PCI V.90
      Submitted By: Rosenet Technician
        S37=16S38=0S25=40
    Disables V.90 negotiations on most newer modems. Use this instead of the S38=16 string above on most V.90 enabled modems.

  • Model: Rockwell HCF 56K

        S37=16S38=16S25=40
    This can stabilize a connection on noisy phone lines.

        AT&F+MS=V90,,,,45333,45333
    AOL tech support has mentioned that this string works well for connecting to AOL. This string forces a 45333 connection. If reliability or initial connectivity are a problem, you may try lowering the first "45333" to a smaller number - like 28800. This will set the floor connect speed to something lower.

  • Model: Soft 56K PCI
      Submitted By: Internet User
        AT&F&C1&D2+ms=K56,0
    An Internet user reported this as working to increase download speeds when connecting to a V.90 enabled ISP.

  • Model: HCF V90 56K RTAD Speakerphone PCI
      Submitted By: Internet User
        AT-V90=0
    This string has been reported to create more reliable connections for people that have problems connecting with V.90 speeds. This will disable V.90.
