The Supra manual states AT&F1 is the proper init (but I'm not convinced). That init string does not appear to work for all situations. I had one case were the ONLY string that would work was AT&F and the port speed had to be set to 28800. To force a slower connection, add (to the init string) +MS=11,1,, ie +MS=11,1,9600,14400 AT&F1 is the proper init string (according to Supra documentation).

The best init string for PC's will contain AT&F2.

        AT&F2&C1&D2+MS=11,1,26400,28800
Use this string if your 33.6 modem insists on connecting at 33,600 even when it cannot hold a reliable connection at this speed (this is a problem that we have seen several times).

        &F2&C1&D3\N2S25=20
We have seen this string alleviate many connection difficulties. For Mac, Change the &D3 to &D0
